It’s gratifying to be the one my friends call when they’re confused at the fabric store! I wish they had Girl Scouts for grown ups because that should be a big ol’ badge on my sash.

I am volunteering this weekend for a great cause: Art From the Streets. Off and on, I’ve been involved with them since 2000. The volunteer-supported program has 2 weekly sessions in which homeless people are given access to art supplies and creative space, and then we have a HUGE annual Art Show & Sale (we’re talking 1000s of pieces) in which the artists get to keep 95% of the sale...
